Zen Keyboard

This projeect is my longest and most ambitious. I learned EDA, circuit design, some programming in C, and methods of volume production. In mid 2017, I began experimenting with a custom layout keyboard. Using 3d printing and hand-wiring the matrix, I was able to try out a couple of layouts resembling the Ergodox. Once I found one I liked, I ordered plated made out of carbon fiber. Ultimately, the carbon fiber wasn't reliable or cheap enough to work with. I started designing my own PCB and case to be made at high volume. The project is currently (Feb 2018) in a group buy stage, and over 80 people have purchased kits.
